Dear A.J. Mitchell Hawk Parent/Guardian,
Por favor, lea esta carta en Español.
The staff and I extend a warm welcome to you and your children from A.J. Mitchell. Our priority is happy, healthy, successful children. We know that working together will make our students SOAR!
Although I am the new principal of the A.J. Mitchell Elementary School, I have worked in the Nogales Unified School District since 1991. I have worked as a teacher at A.J. Mitchell and R.M. Bracker, a reading specialist, the Reading First district grant coordinator, and as an elementary school principal.
We will work hard to build strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. We will focus on fostering a nurturing safe environment for children, using data to inform instruction, implementing effective instructional practices, and providing exciting enrichment opportunities for all students.
During the course of the year, it is my hope that we will work together to provide the students of A.J. Mitchell the best possible opportunities in preparing them to be successful now and in their future. As principal, my door is always open, and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to get to know me personally or to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet.
Please look at our website for information on schedules, policies, and procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school.
